About Household Pay

One app for
the work behind a home.

Household Pay is a private ledger for hours and pay in the home—for the households who hire help, and for the people who do the work. It keeps track of who worked, how long, what’s owed, and what’s been paid.

Two profiles, one app.

The first time you open Household Pay, you choose the profile that fits you. Each has its own ledger on your phone, and you can switch any time from More → Profile.

The pay math, punch clock, receipts, reports, and reminders work the same way in both. Only the wording and the point of view change.

Warmth around the everyday details.

Granny Nanny welcomes Household. Maya and Jack the Carpenter welcome Staff GIG, with Maya accompanying hours and Jack accompanying payment records. Their painted illustrations add a quiet touch around clear, readable screens.

Sparky is the optional companion: a resting card and a little encouragement after a successful save. Choose him during onboarding or in More → Sparky companion. No chores, streaks or extra tasks—and your shared documents keep their usual format.

What we stand by.

No account
There’s nothing to sign up for. Choosing a profile doesn’t create an account, and nobody you work with needs the app.
Your records stay on your device
Records live on your phone. Optional iCloud sync on iOS or Google Drive sync on Android uses your own account, and backups are encrypted with a passphrase only you know.
Records, not money
Household Pay records payments made outside the app. It never moves money or connects to a bank.
Usage data is your choice
Anonymous usage events and crash reports help fix problems. They never include names, numbers, notes, or amounts, and you can turn them off in More → Privacy. There is no advertising. Read the privacy policy.
Built for everyone
The apps support larger text sizes and screen readers, and we want to hear when something gets in the way. Read about accessibility.

What it isn’t.

Household Pay is a recordkeeping tool. It isn’t a payroll service, a bank, or a tax adviser. It doesn’t calculate or file payroll taxes, issue tax invoices or 1099s, or decide which pay rules apply to you. Optional overtime and premium-day rules calculate what you set up; check your own obligations with a qualified professional.

Where it runs.

  • iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 26 or later.
  • Android 7.0 or later.

Both apps have the same two profiles and features. Cloud sync differs: iCloud sync on iOS covers both profiles, while Google Drive sync on Android is available in the Household profile. Records don’t sync between iOS and Android.

Household Pay is available now on Google Play for Android. Coming soon for iPhone and iPad. See availability.

Who makes it.

Household Pay is made and provided by Juan Mosquera. It’s an independent app: no advertising, no data sales, and no account to create.

New features and fixes are shared in the feedback & changelog , where you can also suggest what should come next.
